Individual Counseling
Individual counseling services are available to children, adolescents and adults through ongoing therapy and crisis intervention. Individual therapy provides a forum, for those involved, to address a wide array of problems which are common to all age groups including but not limited to:
- Anger
- Anxiety
- Communication
- Depression
- Grief
- Self Esteem
- Stress
- Suicide
- Traumas
- Substance Abuse
- Physical and Sexual Abuse
- Coping with Separation and Divorce
Some areas addressed with children and adolescents include:
- Developmental challenges
- School problems (phobia, truancy, underachievement, poor academic performance student/teacher conflict, ADD and ADHD)
- Parent/child relationship problems and issues dealing with separation, divorce and blended families.
- Play Therapy for children ages 4-10 years
Issues addressed in adolescence and adulthood also include difficulties surrounding self esteem, identity, peer relationships, substance abuse, sexuality, and codependency. RAPYFS clinicians provide coordination of treatment with, and referral to, many state and local agencies, i.e., the Department of Social Services and the Department of Juvenile Services.
